I’m sure a ground-up rewrite in a new framework is an accomplishment for the developers, but I don’t see what this does for me that I don’t get from the Gmail app, Apple’s Mail app, or something like Spark, which all exceed it in features. It trails other mail apps that have come along since the original Airmail by a great deal.
Mail for gmail review archive#
This edition lets you swipe to archive or delete messages. Thank you so much for being such an honest company. When it sends your messages, it uses the standard encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). The customer service rep Danielle was wonderful and did all she could for me. A while ago Google tweaked Gmail so it always uses a secure HTTPS connection. The original had a robust set of actions that worked with a variety of apps and services to help process email into actionable items or turn messages into useful notes, etc. I had a situation occur where I had two accounts running at the same time. I was glad to see the team decided to start over and I’m sure that with the lessons learned from the first edition they’ll build something great, but this initial version is the barest of bare minimums. Ive recently started looking for apps in order to send mass mail to our clients and Mailmeteor is by far the best one that Ive tried The support team was. I stopped using it after a while because it lost drafts and its message composer was a mess. The original Airmail had some great features but was also struggling in terms of quality.
